Discover Infinite Possibilities
Discover Argentina
Buenos Aires is a challenge—a completely different reality, where lots of variables and contradictions are working together at the same time. Though it is a huge metropolis, it still shares some of the South American difficulties as it recovers its economical growth.
Dynamic and full of potential, it is a great place to have a very enriching experience, one which will require you to expand your creativity and imagination and to develop new comprehension and action tools.
Buenos Aires is the capital and the largest city in Argentina. Located on the southeast coast of South America, it sits on the southern side of the Rio de la Plata. More than 3 million people live in the city, with another 12 million residing in the larger metropolitan area around it. With one of the busiest ports in the world, it is the financial, industrial, commercial and social centre of Argentina. Its enormous inland river system connects it to the majority of Argentina as well as Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay.
The city offers traditional tours and secret places; theaters, old book stores and new cultural centers, more than one hundred museums, handcraft fairs and modern shopping malls, historic cafes, milongas, parks, pubs and bars to enjoy the first and last drink of the night. It is well connected to the rest of the country and the region, so it’s easy and inexpensive to take some weekend tours to the Iguazu Falls, Salta and Jujuy (north of Argentina, where native cultures are still strong), Mendoza & San Juan (vineyard areas), Patagonia (the south of the country, beautiful lakes for the summer and incredible ski slopes for the winter),

Ground Transportation: We are pleased to provide all participants with transportation to/from the airport of the host country to their housing location.
There are multiple means of transportation around Buenos Aires: five lines of subtes (the abbreviated dname for subterrÂneo (subway), more than one hundred lines of colectivos (name for  “buses” in Buenos Aires) and inter-urban railways (or trains). Taxis and remises are very common means of transport because they are safer and more economical than in other cities. $100 per month is more than enough to spend on transportation.
Leisure City Information: For more information in regards to leisure activities in Buenos Aires, visit the city government website www.buenosaires.gov.ar,
cultural activities at the National Library www.bn.gov.ar, restaurant information www.guiaoleo.com.ar, City tours, tango tours, football tours, etc www.campustravel.com.ar.
Meals: “Independent” program participants will be on their own for all meals. Food in Buenos Aires is not expensive and the restaurants are very good. If you plan on spending around $200 USD per month on food, this is more than enough. Sometimes when renting a room in a family house, they may include dinner and/or breakfast.

Vaccinations Required: We recommend the participant personally contact their primary care physician to determine exact vaccinations that are required for their trip.
