Application Process

 

  1. Applicant submits…

    • *Resume/CV (www.IIVNetwork.com/ResumeCVtemplate.html), which includes a headshot in professional attire. Please ensure you are the only individual in the photo and be sure to smile!  Note: In the event you are unable to insert the photo into the Resume, a headshot submitted separately will be acceptable.

    • A minimum of two (2) References.  References will be accepted from current/former Employer(s), College Professor(s), Instructor(s), Counselor(s) or other professionals who have know the applicant for at least six months (cannot be a family member).  It is recommended you provide your references with the following link so that they may complete and submit a referral form on-line; www.IIVNetwork.com/ApplicantReferralForm.html.  Formal letters of reference, in lieu of the on-line form, are also accepted and may be faxed or e-mailed to the attention of Int’l internship & Volunteer Network, P.O. Box 574, Largo, FL USA 33779;  Fax: 727-399-9592.

    • Copy of the *Information Page of your Passport. 

*Resume/CV and Statement of Purpose, in Microsoft Word format, the Information Page of your Passport and Headshot Photo (if not on Resume/CV), must be submitted via e-mail to MichelleAnderson@IIVNUSA.com.

 

  1. After receipt and review of the documents noted above, IIVN will contact you to schedule an Information Session by phone.  This is an opportunity for us to get to know you better, make sure that the program you have selected is right for you, and answer any questions you have about the program. Note: In some cases, additional information sessions may be scheduled to assess foreign language skills (if applicable) and clarify particular details for the respective program.  Within 3-5 business days following the Information Session, applicant will receive an e-mail confirmation regarding their acceptance or denial in an IIVN program. 

  1. If accepted, applicant will receive a formal Acceptance Letter outlining the next steps in the application process, in addition to an invoice for the *Application Fee and a link to submit the required *Participant Agreement.  The Participant Agreement confirms your understanding of all aspects of the IIVN program and may be submitted on-line at www.IIVNetwork.com/ParticipantAgreement.html. 

  1. The Application Fee will be credited towards the total Program Fee and confirms your serious intent to secure an opportunity with IIVN. In an effort to ensure your security and privacy when making this payment, an invoice for this fee (in US Dollars) will be sent to your attention via e-mail.  Payment may be submitted on line by credit card, by mail with U.S. Check or Money Order, **Wire Transfer or Western Union. ** In the event payment is made by electronic Wire Transfer or Western Union, all applicable wire/transfer fees must be paid by the sender/participant. 

  1. Within ten (10) calendar days following submission of your Application Fee & Participant Agreement, participant must submit the total*Program Fee (less application fee). In an effort to ensure your security and privacy when making this payment, an invoice for this fee will be sent via e-mail. Submission of the total Program Fee confirms your participation in an IIVN program.  Upon receipt,   you will be assigned an Int’l Program Director in the country you will be visiting and details of your placement will be forwarded to you as they are confirmed.

*Important Note:  No action will be taken to further process your application until receipt of the Application Fee, Participant Agreement and Program Fee are confirmed! In the event receipt of these items remains outstanding by due dates noted, applicant will forfeit their program participation!

 

In the event IIVN is unable to confirm a suitable placement on your behalf, prior to your program start date, all monies submitted are 100% refundable!

 

6.      Participant is sent a Participant Handbook and important country specific information outlining important information that will be helpful as you plan for your trip. 

 

7.      IIVN will provide participant with information & resources that will assist with planning and securing important aspects of your trip, including Air Carrier and Int’l Travel/Medical Insurance options, host employer confirmation letter to be submitted with Visa application (as applicable), and other important resources.
