Application Process
1. Applicant provides IIVN with a Resume/CV and Statement of Purpose, which outlines specific details regarding applicants interest. (Note: It is preferred that Resume/CV and Statement of Purpose be submitted via e-mail in Microsoft Word format).
2. IIVN consults with the respective Program Director in candidates “country of interest” to determine placement options available to suit their individual needs. Candidate is advised of placement opportunities and confirms their desire to move forward in the application process.
3. Applicant submits a completed "Program Application" and interview is scheduled. The purpose of the interview is to confirm that placement options meet candidate’s needs and confirm placement details, in addition to reviewing the participants work experience, goals and ability to represent IIVN with the utmost professionalism. (Note: In some cases, additional interviews may be required by the "Host Country Receiving Organization" and/or the "Host Employer/Association.”)
4. Upon successful completion of required interview(s), applicant will receive an e-mail confirmation regarding their acceptance or denial of participation in an IIVN program.
5. An "Application Fee" ($250.00 USD) and a "Participant Agreement" must be submitted within three (3) calendar days following date of acceptance letter. The Application Fee confirms your serious intent to secure an opportunity with IIVN and the Participant Agreement confirms your understanding of all aspects of the IIVN program.
6. Within seven (7) calendar days following submission of the required Application Fee & Participant Agreement, participant must submit the total “Program Fee” (less application fee), two (2) completed Applicant Referral Forms and a recent Photo. Submission of the Total Program Fee confirms your participation in an IIVN program.
(*Note: In the event Application Fee, Total Program Fee and/or Participant Agreement are not received within the time frame noted above, applicant will forfeit their program participation.
7. Upon receipt of the items noted above, IIVN will formally initiate the placement process. Specific opportunities and details will be forwarded to participant as they are confirmed. Participants will receive final placement details, including arrival instructions, contact information and specific job duties, as they are confirmed and no later than four (4) weeks prior to their start date. (Note: in some instances, placements may take up to six (6) months to secure.)
8. IIVN will provide participant with information & resources that will assist with securing housing, travel/medical insurance, legal work authorization/travel/visa documents and air carrier options.
